Dr Mohammad Irhimeh is a Haematologist, a Pathologist, an Educator and a Researcher with proven expertise in clinical and laboratory haematology (paediatric and adult) with a clinical, pathological and research career spanning over two decades across Australia, the USA and Jordan. Dr Irhimeh graduated from the University of Western Australia Medical School with an MD degree, completed fellowship training in haematology, holds a PhD in Medicine/Haematology – with ground-breaking work on hematopoietic stem cell mobilisation, and took on a prestigious postdoctoral fellowship at the University of California, Berkeley, focusing on molecular haematology and proteomics. His research contributed to advances in drug development and molecular and proteomic analysis of haematological neoplasms as well as stem cell regenerative medicine. Dr Irhimeh’s clinical and lab expertise encompasses classical haematology, morphology, haemoglobinopathies, haemophilia, thrombosis, haematological malignancies, bone marrow transplantation, and precision diagnostics, leveraging molecular technologies and advanced flow cytometry. His leadership roles include heading haematopoietic regenerative medicine initiatives, CAR-T-cells research, drug discovery and contributing to the establishment of quality standards in haematopathology services. A passionate educator and mentor, Dr Irhimeh has lectured at leading institutions, supervised PhD and MSc candidates and contributed significantly to translational research. His academic achievements include many peer-reviewed journal articles and abstracts and collaborative projects with national and international research centres. Committed to integrating cutting-edge research into clinical practice, Dr Irhimeh has been recognised for his contributions to the field with multiple awards and appointments to professional committees. He continues to advocate for innovation in haematology, improving patient outcomes through personalised medicine and diagnostics.
