  • What do we test for?

    At Clinical Labs we offer laboratory screening and confirmation of all drug classes included in AS/NZS 4308:2023.

  • Flexible Collection Options

    At Clinical Labs, we offer your organisation more flexibility with two collection options. Choose which method of collection suits your organisation and employees.

    1. On-site drug testing
      A time-efficient testing and collection option that supports early identification of drug and alcohol risks in the workplace. Urine or oral fluid (saliva) samples can be collected on site, with the appropriate method selected based on operational and compliance requirements.

      All urine collections and testing kits comply with AS/NZS 4308:2023, the recognised Australian Standard for urine drug testing. Sample containers are tamper-evident, with initial screening results available within 5–10 minutes.

      Oral fluid collections are conducted using compliant consumables and procedures aligned with AS/NZS 4760:2019.

      Breath alcohol testing is performed using AS 3547:2019 accredited equipment.
    2. Accredited Clinical Labs Collection Centre
      Employees may attend a dedicated Clinical Labs Accredited Collection Centre using a referral form. All urine drug screens collected at an ACC are supervised collections and tested in our secure, NATA-accredited toxicology laboratories in accordance with AS/NZS 4308:2023.
      Breath alcohol testing is available at selected ACCs and is conducted using AS 3547:2019 compliant devices.
  • Results

    Samples will be transported to our secure central toxicology labs, via a strict chain of custody, for analysis and confirmation of all non-negative results. The analysis of all Drug & Alcohol Testing pathology samples is conducted in our state-of-the-art NATA-accredited toxicology laboratories under the supervision of our expert RCPA-registered pathologists.

  • Accreditations

    1. Laboratories – NATA-accredited laboratories performing screening and confirmation of all AS/NZS 4308:2023 urine drug classes and metabolites and AS/NZS 4760:2019 oral fluid (saliva) drug classes and metabolites.
    2. Urine Kits – Clinical Labs supplies and uses AS/NZS 4308:2023 compliant urine-testing kits.
    3. Saliva Kits – Clinical Labs supplies and uses AS/NZS4760:2019 compliant oral fluid (saliva)-testing kits.
    4. Alcohol testing and breath alcohol equipment - AS 3547:2019 accredited equipment.
    5. On-site drug testing collection procedures - AS/NZS 4308:2023 urine and AS/NZS 4760: 2019 oral fluid (saliva) compliant.
